Paphos (Pay┬┤fos)

A city located on a rocky plateau along the southwestern coast of Cyprus. When Saul and Barnabas came to Cyprus on their first journey, it was in this capital city that they met the Roman proconsul Sergius Paulus and the Jewish prophet Elymas (Bar-Jesus) associated with him (Acts 13:6-12).
