paschal (Pas´kuhl)

“Pertaining to Passover,” a term usually applied to the lamb slaughtered for the Passover feast. According to the Gospel of John, Jesus was crucified the day the paschal lamb was slain (1Cor 5:7).

7Clean out the old yeast so that you may be a new batch, as you really are unleavened. For our paschal lamb, Christ, has been sacrificed.
