Pathros (Path´ros)

Upper Egypt, the region south of Memphis and the Nile Delta. There were Israelite exiles in Pathros (Isa 11:11); Jeremiah and Ezekiel cried out against them (Jer 44:1; Jer 44:15; Ezek 29:14; Ezek 30:14). The Pathrusim were the people of Pathros and were described as descendants of Egypt (Gen 10:14; 1Chr 1:12).

Ezek 29:14
